Well, it depends what your idea of "cheap " might be. You can get a later model Schwinn Sting Ray single speed or 3 speed in fair, but not great, condition for about $200 pretty easily. If you want a vintage 5 speed model or one in great condition a "cheap " price would be in the $600 range. If you aren't stuck on Schwinn, there are many other brands including Sears, Huffy, Murray, Executive, Derby, Executive, Iverson... the list goes on. These can be had for under $100 in good shape and sometimes even show up in thrift stores like Goodwill for under $20. I would say the BEST place to find a bike like that is during the spring at yard sales and flea markets. If you are intent on getting one now then eBay or craigslist might be the best option. |
