Motobecame vs schwinn road bike?
I need a bike to ride into town with. The Motobecame is made in France and apparently is hard to find. It's $20 and I personally tested the height with this one. The Schwinn came with the specs and I haven't tested it yet. I need something to ride to work and back, however, it'd be a 15 mile bike ride there and back. Advice needed for selling a Schwinn road bike?
I would like to sell my Schwinn Continental road bike. It is a men's roadbike although I am a 5'7 woman and it fit me fine and a red orange ish color. I bought it for $90 about two years ago, and it is in decent condition. Currently, the paint IS chipped in several areas but small chips and no rust and the handlebar tape is dirty coming off. Also, I have wheels for it but no tires. New brake pads probably need to be put on it as well. Rides fine though. My question is How much can I realistically expect for this bike? Should I spend time replacing the handlebar tape brake pads putting new tires on it, or should I sell as is. Please help. Thanks
GT Performer vs Schwinn road Bike?
I have a 2002 GT Performer that I use to use when I was in high school. It is in good condition but I am not sure if I should use it when I bike through downtown. I also have an old Schwinn road bike with the thin tires. Both bikes need new tires. Which would handle city streets better and weather conditions? I am new to bicycling and very interested, so please honest and helpful answers.

How do I use a Presta valve to blow up my Schwinn road bike tire?
I unscrew the valve until it is fully extended, screw the adapter over top, hook up the pump and all i get is resistance from the pump and no air blowing out. What am i doing wrong?

First, let me start out by saying I am completely non bike savvy. So any and all help on the subject are greatly appreciated, and please don't laugh or be snarky i'm trying.i am really interested in getting a road bike as i have been previously adviced because of the places where i plan to ride but i don't know very much about them. I will use the bike mostly for short distances like getting to a friend's house, recreational purposes, and maybe even getting to and from school. Also, I am looking at used bikes from craigslist.Are there any devestating differences between men and women's road bikes? I know there will obviously be differences in structure and measurements, but since I am not an extreme biker, is it a huge factor? I am aware that a women's bike will fit me better but they're harder to find used in my area. And my last question, are there any details I should be specifically aware of when looking at used road bikes?Thank you

How much should I pay for a 21 speed Schwinn Road bike?
